Today was an absolute ass day at work, but i got to work out of the office, or my house, on site and doing something without being bothered with other stuff. It was kind of nice to work on a network migration and get to focus on it. The environment was live, but they were closed today so there wasnt someone up my ass the whole time. We didnt get done until about two hours later than we planned, and I'll have to go back in a couple of weeks but in all most of the mistakes were pretty easily fixed and most of the things that went wrong were as bad as they could have been. Of course having said that when I go back on monday it'll certainly be completely fucked.
Time is stupid. We have to spend so much of it doing things that are worthless, but i mean most of it is generally stuff you have to do to avoid some sort of bad thing, so its sort of worth it.
The office downstairs is a very different place than it was about a month ago. Its amazing the difference just moving a few things around can make, really feels like we opened up the room a lot. I kind of want to get a rug for down there, but at the same time i think that might be better for the winter when we move the second kotatsu back down there. It's in our room right now because we use the table part up there in the summer time.
Organized the VHS tapes yesterday in between calls. Mostly so I didnt have to get too into anything because I knew I was going to out of the office all day today. It kind of pays to not get too tied down the day before something like that. I feel like that sort of does my coworkers a little dirty, but as we've found during our discussions during meetings, its much more helpful to NOT have to get a call from someone while you are working on something complicated, or having to explain to one of the dudes how to complete this ticket that you left half done.
Im rambling, mostly because my brain is fried and it sort of helps sometimes to just let it go lahS>gaiujkshf.h;v for a second.
I think I'll poke my Tiny Aquarium game (talk about that next time) or start a new round of paperclips.
